AFRICAN FOOD -
love African food then visit Bukah in Accra for Waakye, Jollof and
Fufu. The ambience is nice, with a local feel. Food is served on an
semi-open terrace. If you really want to go local then try Katawudieso
opposite Labone Junction.

DRESSMAKER - The choices are many!!!!!! - Now thanks to growing talent I will recommend Ophelia Crossland who has already-made-to-wear designs in African Print. My next favourite is Christie Brown, young designer who has won awards at the African Fashion Week. Both designers offer a blend of African and Western Styles and are willing to make clothes to order. |
GETAWAY - Need peace of mind? Love to hear and see the ocean and still be able to have a calm swim? Then Lou Moon is the answer. For as long as you can manage the 5 hour journey to Axim then you are in for a treat. I absolutely love, love it!!!! |
JEWELERY - Suntrade is owned by Katie Dagadu in Asylum-Down. All handmade, you will find very lovely beaded earrings, bracelets and necklaces. The products are made from authentic Ghanaian beads in very rich colours. |
LOUNGING - Accra now has quite a few spots to just hang out for a bite and read - top of my list is Deli France, the pastries are fresh and delicious; Melting Moments - you ought to try their Fruit Explosion!!! |
MAKE-UP - Have a function to go to? Want to look stunning for the event? Then Sacha Okoh is your answer! Have "So Aesthetic" do you up for teh occassion. Her charges are upwards of GHC 150 depending on teh sort of event. |
NAILS - Recently moved to a new location, you can treat yourself to a manicure and pedicure at Noelle's Spa. You can do both for GHC 15.00, the staff are friendly and polite and actually have a full grasp of customer service. Noelle's Spa is in Osu near Noble House. |
