Our Sisterlocks Package consists of 3 visits - a consultation, the locking session and a follow-up visit.
Your Consultation:
This is your opportunity to see what sisterlocks looks like on your consultant; to ask all the questions you can think of in relation to sisterlocks before you take the plunge; and more importantly we install test locks for you to see how your sisterlocks are likely are likely to hold in your hair and determine if sisterlocks is right for YOU!
At the end of the consultation, we can arrange a convenient date for your locking session, normally within 2 - 4 weeks of your consultation.
Your Locking session:
This is a big deal!! You should arrive for your locking session with freshly washed hair, without conditioner or any hair product applied. You should let your hair dry naturally and leave it loose or braided in large plaits.
Locking sessions could last between 10 to 15 hours or longer depending on the length and density of your hair, and the size of the Sisterlocks installed. We try to make the locking session as comfortable for you as possible, so sit back, relax and enjoy your journey. We have satellite telivision, music, internet and magazines to keep you entertained. We serve you lunch and drinks.
We'll be sure to schedule your follow-up visit before you leave because good maintenance is the key to gorgeous Sisterlocks. This is normally after 2-3 shampooing or within 4 weeks.
Your Follow-Up Visit:
Your follow-up session is your first check-up after 2-3 washes or within 4 weeks of your locking session. Your locks will be retightened if necessary and we will give you an idea of how long the settling-in process is likely to take.
We will also schedule your next retightening appointment and recommend a regular retightening schedule as your locks mature.
